Half Day Blackstone Valley Ride
Announcements:
- 03/15/2024 - the Blackstone Ride is still UNAVAILABLE due to changes in the MA State Dept. of Recreation policy on horseback riding.
We offer half day rides through the scenic Blackstone Valley starting from Plummer's Landing to River Bend Farm in the Blackstone River and Canal Heritage State Park … and back again. These rides are available by appointment only and typically take 6 hours end-to-end with about three hours of saddle time and over 8 miles of riding. The ride’s pace can be adjusted to suit the experience level of the group, so any experience level can be accommodated.
You will enjoy the scenery of the Blackstone River Valley and the historic Blackstone Canal, viewing it from the saddle as your group of riders ambles through the creeks, past Goat Hill Lock, and along the lakes of the region. The ride includes a mid-way stop for a picnic-style lunch delivered to River Bend Farm. In addition to a fabulous riding experience, you can learn about the region's economy through this important chapter of its transportation history in the visitor's center museum.
